LAYKA Lens is our film and conversation series that takes place in both live and virtual spaces. We curate films that connect to the cultural heritage of Central and Eastern Europe, while also speaking to the present moment. LAYKA Lens offers a socially-distanced film club that brings audiences together for conversation with some of the country’s top critics, scholars, and artists.

During 2020-2021, we brought you eight engaging live-streamed conversations about important classic films that connected us to the vibrant legacy of Central and Eastern European culture — both on screen and behind the camera — while also exploring complex themes that reverberated with our present moment.
