Lester Paley Fund for New Yiddish Culture

Yiddishkayt has established a new permanent endowment (Yiddishkayt’s first): The Lester Paley Fund for New Yiddish Programs (“more for Les!”), which will use the interest from its principal to support innovative, compelling and accessible Yiddish programming each year.

Lester Paley was a founding board member of Yiddishkayt. His worldview and progressive values are a guiding principle of this organization. Lester was also a leader in his community, a mentor, a grandfather and a lover of knowledge and culture. One of his life passions was Yiddish, and Lester worked tirelessly to make this organization sustainable and relevant, aggressively pushing for innovative, accessible programming.
